John Edwards "Marshall Corps" Plan

This is one of John Edwards plans for dealing with his so called Bumper Sticker War on Terror:

As commander-in-chief, Edwards will employ a more effective strategy to hunt down those who would threaten us, including Islamic extremists, and to shut down terrorism where it startsin weak and failing states, which breed instability and radicalism. Edwards will:

* Rebalance our force structure for the challenges of the new century
* Ensure our intelligence strategy adheres to proven and effective methods
* Hold regular meetings with top military leadership
* Create a "Marshall Corps" to stabilize weak and failing states
* Rebuild equipment
* Create a National Security Budget

What is this "Marshall Corps" business?
"Marshall Corps": Weak and failing states create hotbeds for terrorism and create regional instability that creates security dangers for the U.S. and our allies. As president, Edwards will create a "Marshall Corps" of 10,000 professionals, modeled on the Reserves systems, who will work on stabilization and humanitarian missions. He will also implement new training for future military leadership and create a undersecretary for stabilization and a new senior stabilization position within the Joint Staff.

Oh we see now. It sounds like this plan, this new Corps, will be under the leadership of our Military. Just what they need: A group of non fighting, under-trained men and women who will run to the hot beds, be kidnapped, beheaded and otherwise tortured. SMART MAN, this John Edwards. This shows his total lack of understanding of just who our enemies are and what lengths they have and will go to- just to get us OUT.

Tempers Flare and McCain is There

Everyone loses their temper now and again.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. and Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, launched into a shouting match during a Thursday Capitol Hill meeting, where reportedly the presidential candidate dropped the "F” word and more.

According to reports in the Washington Post and the New York Post, Cornyn apparently got the former POW’s attention when he raised the issue about the number of judicial appeals that illegal immigrants could receive.

In a meeting room just off the Senate floor, McCain opined that Cornyn was purposely raising petty objections to a compromise plan then being hammered out between Senate Republicans and Democrats and the White House.

"This is chickens--- stuff," McCain fired at Cornyn, according to the news reports. "You've always been against this bill, and you're just trying to derail it."

Not to be outdone, Cornyn accused McCain of being too occupied campaigning for president to take part in the negotiations.

"Wait a second here," Cornyn said to McCain. "I've been sitting in here for all of these negotiations and you just parachute in here on the last day. You're out of line."

"F--- you! I know more about this than anyone else in the room," McCain reportedly rejoined.

Not everyone is running for President of the United States though. John McCain has a history of going off the deep end; of having swear outs and temper tantrums. Is this the man who can lead our country? I don't think so. John McCain is also the man who gives the Democrats what they want, even when this isn't best for America. Politics over national security is how this man remains so popular among liberals. He does have good and sound ideas but he would trade these in a minute to win the label of being bipartisan. No thank you. America first, Mr. McCain.
